Adolph William "Bill" Pollman

Dr. Adolph William “Bill” Pollman, 75, of La Crosse, was called to his eternal rest on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Bill was born on March 20, 1939 in Milwaukee to Adolph and Ella (Engel) Pollman. He was baptized at Downers Avenue Lutheran Church in Shorewood and confirmed at Siloah Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He graduated from Rufus King High School in 1958. Bill received his Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from UW-Milwaukee and his PhD in Management and Marketing from UW-Madison. He served as a Professor at UW-La Crosse from 1969-2005.He served on the WELS Kingdom Workers Board, working with the Hispanic Mission Outreach from 2006 to the present. This also included organizing and transporting of food donations from local businesses to the Salvation Army for the past eight years. Bill founded Genesis 2000 Ltd. and served as a building consultant for monolithic domes and SIP (Structurally Insulated Panels) construction. Bill was a long time member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and First Evangelical Lutheran Church, both in La Crosse. He served on the Grace Lutheran Church Council from 1986-1992.
Bill is survived by cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM at First Ev. Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Pastor Roger Sachs will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
