Jacqueline Mae White

March 11, 1934 — December 4, 2014

Jacqueline Mae White, 80, of La Crescent, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in La Crosse.

Jackie was the first of 7 children, born to Harold and Esther Reagles on March 11th, 1934, in La Crosse. She attended school in La Crosse and graduated from Central High School. She met the love of her life Delbert White at a dance at the Avalon ballroom, and later on March 12th, 1955 they were married at the Bible Baptist Church in La Crosse. Delbert preceded her in death on December 29th, 1999. They moved to Wichita, KS for a short period of time, later returning to La Crosse briefly, before settling for the rest of their lives in rural La Crescent. Jackie worked many years for Trane Company as a records clerk.

Jackie was a proud daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had an exceptional bond with her Mother and Sister like no other; they were three peas in a pod. She loved her Lord and her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her home out in the country. It was the most welcoming place for everyone in her family and friends. She loved to laugh and smile and enjoyed the company of others. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed shopping with family whenever she could. She absolutely loved holidays and went all out to make them the most memorable experiences she could for her family. She loved to travel to California to see the ocean, and visit her family. She was a long time member of the Bible Baptist Church in La Crosse. Her faith and love of the Lord was very dedicated and important to her. Even though she was unable to attend church, she enjoyed watching her many favorite pastors on the TBN network every day. She will be remembered to many by her nicknames as Ah-ha and Pooh Bear. Everyone that knew her will remember her for wisdom in which they could always confide in. In her spare time, she loved to make wreaths and kissing balls from pinecones of the trees in her yard. She always put others before herself and would help anyone in need. Her spirit was gentle and kind. She truly had the largest heart in the world.

She is survived by her loving 4 children, Randy White, Terry (Karlyn) White, Darrell (Cheryl) White, Rochelle White; 5 grandchildren, Jacob White, Scott White, Amber (Damon) Wood, Samantha White and Danielle White; and three great grandchildren Sophia, Isabella and Diesel. She is further survived by her siblings; Lloyd (Mattie) Reagles, James Reagles, Ronald (Cheryl) Reagles, Gary (Rosa) Reagles and many nieces; nephews; friends; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her Husband Delbert, parents Harold and Esther Reagles; 2 brothers, Richard Reagles and one in infancy, sister Sherry Luhman-Barnes; sister in law Ann Reagles.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Pastor Stephen Terpstra will officiate. Burial will be in the Mound Prairie Cemetery, Mound Prairie Township, Houston County, Minnesota. Friends may call at the funeral home of Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. - Matthew 5:8 KJV. God bless you and rest in peace, love, your family.

The family wishes to express its gratitude to the Hospitals in La Crosse, and to all the home care agencies over the years for their many years of care of Jackie.
