Charlotte Marie Bolwahn

Charlotte Marie (Diehn) Bolwahn, 90 of La Crosse died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in her home. She was born April 19, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN and raised by Sister Fabian and the Sisters at St Michaels Orphanage in La Crosse and the loving family of Kate Tucker, Tommy and Jim Tucker in Steuben, WI.
On June 21, 1947 she married Vernon “Butch” Bolwahn in La Crosse and he preceded her in death on February 29, 1996. In her earlier years, Charlotte worked for the United States Government at Billy Mitchell Field in Milwaukee, and later at Montgomery Ward in La Crosse, St. Francis Hospital and Eversole Rogers. She will always be remembered for her generosity, her amazing memory of past and present occurrences and special occasions, along with her unique spirit.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Allen) Hoeschele; her son, Joseph (Christine) Bolwahn; grandchildren, Cara (Dan) Vande Voorde and their children, Mason and Amelia, Kala (Kevin) Pamulac, Jessica (Aaron) Salesman, Robyn (Craig) Bolwahn-Verse and their children, Cameron and Ryker, and Anne Bolwahn. In addition to her husband, Vernon she was preceded in death by an infant son, Vernon, Jr. and great-granddaughter, Mckenna Verse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 7th at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2006 Weston Street, La Crosse with Rev. Brian D. Konopa officiating. Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Aquinas Catholic Schools, Villa St. Joseph or Causeway Interfaith Caregivers.
