Beatrice Grace De Florian

Beatrice Grace (Fillner) De Florian, 81 of Stoddard passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born to Arthur and Grace (Webb) Fillner on May 26, 1933 in La Crosse. She married Francis Joseph De Florian on September 27, 1958 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in La Crosse. She worked at St. Francis Hospital from 1954 to 1961 in the Dietary Kitchen and in the Cafeteria from 1964 to 1999.
Bea enjoyed bowling on several leagues over the years and was also the secretary treasurer for several leagues and enjoyed going to bowling tournaments.
She is survived by her brother; Henry Fillner; her sisters, Janet McCann and Doris (Jim) Melcher. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Bernard (Joyce) De Florian, Michael Lucey and Dorwin Lord, and many nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Doris Von Arx. Bea was preceded in death by her husband Francis on December 27, 2013; her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Leo De Florian; her sister and brother-in-law, Bette and Gunter Gerske; brothers-in-law, Donald Ferguson, Jerry McCann, Francis Nickelotti, Joseph Hartley and Leonard (Donna) De Florian; sisters-in-law, Patricia Fillner, Mary (Robert) Heller, Virginia Lord, Leona (Eugene) Herlitzke, Agnes Lucey, Bernadette (Joseph) Hartley, Clara (Jim) Clements and Jean (Francis) Nickelotti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 21st at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Brian D. Konopa officiating. Entombment will follow in Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Monday from 4-6 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse where a prayer service will be held at 4:00 PM; and again at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services
