Christ and Gwen started Gwen’s Fashions in Onalaska and retired after 32 successful years in business. Christ had a second career as a realtor with Gerrard Hoeschler, where he worked until his final retirement in 2006. He also served as treasurer for the U.W.-La Crosse Quarterback Club for 32 years where he made many wonderful friends. One of Christ’s proudest achievements was obtaining his private pilot’s license at age 40. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and love of chocolate.
Christ is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gwen; his three daughters, Wallis Hutton (aka Nancy), Chrysanthe Mesoloras, and Mari Merrill along with Mari’s wonderful husband, Jim Merrill.
