Kenneth Andrew Dawson, 46, of La Crosse, died on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 24, 1967 in Miami, FL to William and Joan (Brennan) Dawson. He was a 1985 graduate of Santa Fe High School in Alachua, FL. He then served with the US Marine Corps from 1985 – 1988. Ken married Janette Morrison in 1993 and they later divorced. On July 23, 2005 Ken married Sara Krause. He was employed by La Crosse County for the past 23 years
He is survived by his wife Sara, two daughters, Megan and Kaitlyn, his mother Joan Seahorn, two brothers, Doug (Tammy Jo) Dawson, Sr., and Bryan (Emily) Dawson, his mother-in-law Judy Krause, his father-in-law Dick Krause, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Krause, Ron “Gopper” (Kelly Jo) Krause, Lauri (Tom) Phillips, and Penny (Kenny) Curnutte, and many other special family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William and his step-father Milton Seahorn.
While Ken inspired many with his strength and determination against his battle with cancer, Ken would want to be remembered most for his enjoyment of life. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed softball, bowling and cornhole leagues, good times with family and friends, and spending time on his boat. While Ken lived in Wisconsin for much of his life and liked his Packers, he remained a devoted Florida Gators fan. Ken loved and cherished his daughters, and was blessed to spend so many years with the love of his life, Sara.
