Genevieve Walinski

Genevieve Genny Walinski, 86 of Onalaska died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1924 in Spruce, WI to George and Elizebeth (Dilik) Vereb. On November 14, 1951 she married George Walinski in Milwaukee, WI.

Genny loved country music and was a member of 27 different artist fan clubs. Alan Jackson was her #1 favorite.

In addition to her husband, George she is survived by a son, Glenn; two grandchildren; Ryan and Nikki; along with two great-grandchildren; Jayla and Calli. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Gennys family would like to thank the staffs at Onalaska Care Center, Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center, and the hospice team for their excellent care and guidance.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 15th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska with Rev. Steven Kachel officiating. A private family entombment will be held at the Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
