Yvonne D Thienes

Yvonne D. Thienes, 73, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. She was born on November 7, 1937 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Violet (Nordstrom) Lasanske. She graduated from Lutheran High School in Milwaukee and married Curtis Thienes on December 28, 1957 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, West Allis, WI. Yvonne retired from Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church and School, where she had worked for many years. She was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed making memory books, and loved family vacations and get togethers in Hatfield, WI.

She is survived by three children, Geri (Ken) Morey and their son Matt, Curtis (Connie) Thienes Jr. and their daughter Kristen (Josh) Putney and granddaughter Scarlett, and Roy Thienes and his daughter Raven, her mother, Violet Petersen, a brother Raymond Lucky (Cheryl) Lasanske , a sister Sharon Michalski, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis, her father Raymond Lasanske and her step-father, Fay Petersen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28th, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church. Pastor Robert Wassermann will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Thursday from 4:00 7:00 PM and at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
