Onalaska, WI - Sally Ann Aasen, 46 of Onalaska, Wis., passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born August 17, 1965 in La Crosse to Norman L. and Tena M. (Greenwood) Jertson.

In 1988 she married Knute Aasen and they had two children, Seth and Emily. Sally and Knute later divorced.

Sally graduated from Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, Mass. She worked in the brokerage business with her dad for many years, making many friends. Recently Sally was self-employed as an insurance agent with Aflac until her illness.

Sally is survived by her son Seth (Danielle) Aasen stationed at Ft. Carson in CO, her daughter Emily (boyfriend Mat Price) Aasen of Onalaska, sister, Nancy (Marc) Oelke of La Crosse; nephew, Jared Oelke; niece, Kendra Oelke; uncle, Ronald (Jill) Jertson and their daughter, Jackie, of Covina, CA; aunts, Winnie Papenfuss, Ruth Harvey, and Geraldine Greenwood; several cousins.; special friend Sally Ann (Steven) Bergstein of Boston. She is sadly missed and lovingly survived by the Aasen family.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; several uncles and aunts; her dad in 2006; and her mom in 2008.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent, MN. Pastors Barbara Kopperud and Michael Woods will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prince of Peace Cemetery, rural La Crescent. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be given at www.schumacher-kish.com
