Bertha Pelkey

Bertha M. Pelkey, 92 of Blair, Wis., passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Grandview Care Center in Blair. She was born in Brighton, MI. on August 20, 1919 to Otto and Edith (Olbrich) Schreer. She married Jack Pelkey and he preceded her in death in 2006. Bertha had worked as a secretary for the Brighton School district until her retirement.

She is survived by her son Bill (Jerri) Pelkey of Sparta, Wis., her two sisters Edith and Frieda and one brother Herb. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and there will be no services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family.
