Michael B. Solberg, 25 of Milwaukee, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 30th due to pulmonary complications. He was born in La Crosse on May 20, 1986 to Brad and Peggy (Davies) Solberg.

He was a 2009 graduate of the University Wisconsin La Crosse and was finishing his Masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Mike was active in the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity over the years both as a member and a mentor to others. He was an avid world traveler who while abroad spent time teaching English to children in Spain. Mike enjoyed biking, swimming and most of all spending time with his family and friends. His close and loving relationship with his nephew Gavin will be cherished by the family.

Mike is survived by his father Brad Solberg of Brice Prairie, Wis., his mother and step father Peggy (Jack) Herbeck of Holmen, Wis., one brother David Solberg and his son Gavin both of Holmen, and his paternal grandmother Winnie Solberg of Onalaska. He is further survived by a special aunt Kay Collister of La Crosse. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Audrey and Bill Davies and his paternal grandfather Rodney Solberg.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Holmen. Rev. John Parr will officiate. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska on Monday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Mikes memory.
