Lisa Lynn Thomas

Lisa was born in Eau Claire, Wis., on June 17, 1970, to Eric N. and Kathryn L. (Renolds) Thomas. She attended St. Pauls Lutheran School and was confirmed at St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church in Onalaska in 1984. Lisa was a 1988 graduate of Luther High School in Onalaska and later received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. She had been employed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a survey researcher.

Lisa was an outgoing person who loved interacting with people. She was an avid reader and had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Lisa is survived by her parents, Kathy (Richard) Polden of West Salem, and Eric Thomas (Corinne Witt) of Bangor; her son, Ian David Fridin of Oronoco, Minn.; one brother, Jason E. (Jamie) Thomas of Coon Valley; one sister, Erin Thomas of La Crosse; uncles and aunts, Steven (Carol) Thomas of Port St. Joseph, Fla., Diana Dolly Hobson of La Crosse, and Pat (Dave) McClure of Goleta, Cal.; and cousins, Kelly Naro, John Thomas, Joel Thomas, and Case Hobson. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 8th, at 7:00 p.m., at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 907 Sand Lake Rd., Onalaska. Pastor Norris Baumann will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
