Helen M. (Jolivette) Lehrke of La Crosse, died on December 11, 2011 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on September 6, 1922 in La Crosse to Cleveland and Genevieve (Marcou) Jolivette. On September 28, 1946 she married Clarence Lehrke at St. James Parish House in La Crosse.

Helen graduated from Onalaska High School in 1940 and attended one year at WWTI in La Crosse. She worked at Woolworths, McDonalds, and Taco Bell, where she retired in the spring of 1992.

Helen is survived by three sons, Michael (Teri) of La Crosse, Marc (Lisa) of La Crescent, David of New Lisbon, WI, and one daughter Debra (Christopher) Russo of Tyler, TX, seven grandchildren, Renee (Jarrod) Turley and Nicholas Russo of Houston, TX, Jenna (Nate) Fritsch of Woodbury, MN, Nicole Lehrke of St. Paul, MN, Sara Lehrke of La Crosse, Marcus Lehrke of La Crescent, and step-grandson James Cochran of Winona, two great grandsons, Jackson and Reid Turley of Houston, a brother John Jolivette of West Salem, five sisters, Revina Marcum and Mary Ekern, both of La Crosse, Lillian Hofer of La Crescent, Rosella (Raymond) Reinl of Furlong, PA, and Theresa Arntson of Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, a son Daniel, brothers Theophile and Jennings and his wife Isabella, brothers in law Walter Ekern, Herb Marcum and Edward Hofer, sister in law Joan Jolivette, and daughter in law Helen M. (Corbett) Lehrke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Committal services will take place at a later date in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
