Loretta Husmann

Loretta enjoyed many pastimes during her life. She raised and showed New Zealand Red rabbits with her daughter, Linda, for many years. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family. Loretta loved to garden, and grew flowers and vegetables near her home. She looked forward to her weekly appointments in Hokah, where she could converse with friends and neighbors at the beauty salon and the caf.

In addition to her sister, Darlene (Ted) Erickson of Berwyn Height, MD, she is survived by two children, Harlan (Myriam) Husmann of Fargo, ND, and Linda (Darrell Ray) Husmann of Martin, TN; five grandchildren, Diana Husmann, Natalie Husmann, Carl Husmann, Emily Ray, and Austin Ray, along with several nieces, nephew, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Husmann; her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Irvin Blumentritt; and a sister, Margaret Britson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 16th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 612 Division Street, La Crosse, with Reverend Mark Jolivette officiating. Burial will follow in Prince of Peace Lutheran Cemetery, La Crescent. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 5-7pm at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent and again at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the time of services.
