Phillip (Glenn) Hake - Phillip G. Glenn Hake, 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
He was born in Jamaica, N.Y., on July 18, 1947, to Phillip A. and Lorraine (Bonney) Hake. He married Susan Ramsden in 1968 and they later divorced. He then married Jeanette Sullivan in 1986, and they also divorced.
Glenn served with the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. Following his discharge, he worked as a photographer for several newspapers in Massachusetts and also as a HVAC repairman. He moved to Hixton, Wis. in 1978, and worked as an over the road trucker for several years. He then worked as an EMT for the Tomah Ambulance Service and as a CNA at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tomah before retiring. In his free time, Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Hake of Merrillan, Wis., and Jacqualine (David) Schulz of Hillpoint, Wis.; an adopted son, Josh Hake of Tomah; two grandchildren, Silas Hake-Gregerson and Blaze Hake; two sisters, Lorraine (Charles) Slenczka of Hixton, Wis., and Bonnie Jean (Robert) Wilson of Eau Claire, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Chapel, Building 425, in Tomah. Chaplain Maynard Hofer will officiate. Military honors by Tomah American Legion Post 201 will follow the ceremony.
