Harold Prinsen

Harold A. Hulla Prinsen, 93 of La Crosse passed away on Saturday, December 17th at the Alterra Sterling House in La Crosse. He was born in Austin, Minn., on December 18, 1917 to John and Alma (Groth) Prinsen. He married Elaine Fuoter in April of 1944 and she preceded him in death on June 18, 1996. Harold had served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II for six years. He was also a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church in La Crosse.

He is survived by two sons; Richard (Sue) Prinsen of West Salem, Wis., Thomas (Mary Ellen) Prinsen of La Crosse, his granddaughter Brook (Paul Ricker) Prinsen, grandsons Ryan Prinsen, Brandon Prinsen, his step grandchildren John (Patricia) Dikeman, Jeffrey (Sara)Dikeman, five step great grandchildren and his pal, Casey. In addition to his wife Elaine, he was preceded in death by one sister Lucille Jacobs.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Private family burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
