Donna Mae Schroeder

Donna Mae Schroeder, 73, of Onalaska, Wis., passed away at her home on Thursday, December 22, 2011, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Richland Center, Wis., on December 18, 1938 to Richard M. and Marie E. (Loven) Johansen. She married Marvin C. Schroeder at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on June 28, 1956. In addition to her husband Marvin of Onalaska, she is survived by one son Glenn A. (Lily Emerson) Schroeder of Onalaska, two daughters Sheryl L. (Bob) Runchey of Waunakee, Wis., Sue (Dave) Pittman of Onalaska, her siblings; Joanne Allemand of La Crosse, Richard (Janice) Johansen of Ames, Iowa, Gary (La Vonne) Johansen of Holmen, Wis., grandchildren Brandon and Bobby Runchey, Nicole Schroeder, Angie (Dustin Hart) Pittman, Jessica Pittman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister LaVonne Fluekiger.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Holmen. Rev. John Parr will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, town of Shelby. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse onTuesday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Donnas memory.
