Stewartville, MN Kenneth (Ken) J. Larson Jr., 67, of Stewartville, MN died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Stewartville Care Center after a year long battle with liver disease.He was born October 2, 1944, in La Crosse to Kenneth H. and Charlotte (Mosher) Larson and was baptized October 12, 1945 at Our Saviors Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI. He married Judith (Judy) Betthauser on February 14, 1977.Although he was not an active member his entire life, he was extremely proud to be associated with the brotherhood of Masons at the Frontier-Badger Lodge No. 45 in La Crosse. He was a salesman by trade, selling his patented water treatment system in his younger years, to most recently selling horse tack. His love was horses and the west.

He is survived by two sons, Dan (Sarah) Larson of Stewartville, MN and Derek (Becky) Larson of Salt Lake City, Utah; one step son, Tim Betthauser of La Crosse, WI; 2 step daughters, Lori Betthauser of Lansing, IL and Diane (Rob) Schiferl of Columbia, SC; 8 grandchildren, Isaac and Olivia Larson of Stewartville, Evelyn and William Larson of Salt Lake City, Patrick Guider and Nicole Eckles of Lansing and Jenna and Adam Schiferl of Columbia; one brother, Philip (Pat) Larson of Merrilan, WI; two sisters-in-law, Marlowe Watunya and Bernadine Voss both of La Crosse, WI and many more relatives and special friends.In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Larson, two brothers-in-law, Dr. Michael Watunya and Howard (Howie) Voss and one niece, Deborah Watunya.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Committal services will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery on Friday. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of services
