Harriet E Gleason

Harriette married Lloyd E. Gleason, Sr. on July 6, 1942 at Sacred Heart Church in Cloquet, Minn.



She is survived by 10 children, Gary Gleason of Phoenix, AZ, Gayl Vetsch of Houston, MN, Mary Hargrove (Lon) of La Crescent, MN, William (Kim) Gleason of Elmwood, WI, Lloyd (Barb) Gleason, Jr. of West Salem, Charles (Pam) Gleason of La Crescent, Kathleen Gleason (FiancDewey Severson) of La Crescent, Kenneth (Amy) Gleason of West Salem, James (Anne) Gleason of La Crescent and Jane (Joe) Michalke of La Crescent; 31 Grandchildren; 47 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is further survived by brother, James Howarth of La Crescent.



She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, her daughter, Suzanne, son-in-law, William Hargrove, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.



Harriette was a longtime member of Crucifixion Parish and the American Legion Auxillery.Harriette and Lloyd raised their large family mostly in the LaCrescent area . Theylived and farmeda few miles north west of LaCrescent in the late 40'sto the early 60's, then moved to LaCrescent and the Pine Creek area after Lloyd established a construction company.Although she loved to garden, sew and bake, her greatest joy and accomplishment in life was being a good Wife, Mother and Grandmother.



A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday January 18,2012 at the Church Of The Crucifixion, La Crescent. Rev Gregory Havel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pine Creek Cemetery rural La Crescent.Friends maycall on the family at the Schumacher Kish funural home of LaCrescentfrom 4 until 6 pm on Tuesday, January 17th and at Crucifixion Church from 9 am until the time of Mass on Wednesday.
