Joan E Mittlesteadt

BRODHEAD, WI. Joan E. Mittlesteadt, 84, formerly of La Crosse, WI passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on September 18, 1927 in Berlin, Wis., to Otto and Florence Meyer. Joan was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and she remained an avid reader and sports enthusiast especially for her beloved Packers and Badgers.

Survivors include her four daughters, Kathy (Wolf) Reimann, Karen (Rev. Donald) Pieper, Karyl (Pat) Stephenson and Korene (Chris) Forer, 11 grand-children and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Willis (Bill).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 21thstth, 2012 at First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum in the Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse.
