Matt is also survived by his mother Betty of Caledonia, MN, and eleven brothers and sisters, Kate Lamb of La Crescent, Dan (Pat) Von Arx of Hokah, Bob (Georgia) Von Arx of Byron, MN, Paula (Bob) Patten of Sterling, CO., Tony (Joan) Von Arx of Hokah, Chris (Don) Johnson of La Crescent, Ed (Linda) Von Arx of Hermiston, OR, Mark (Marsha) Von Arx of Hokah, Terry (Roxanne) Von Arx of Holmen, WI, Angie (Jeff) Kellogg of Sterling, CO, and Julie (Erick) Abnet of La Crescent, and many, many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and sisters and brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church, Hokah. Father Joseph Pete will officiate. Burial will be in St. Josephs Convent Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse, 200 West Avenue So., on Wednesday from 2:00 8:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Peters Catholic School.
