" style="text-indent: 0.5in; margin: 0in 0in 10pt;George P. Weber Jr., 91 of La Crosse, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Onalaska Care Center. He was born in La Crosse on October 26, 1920 to George and Lily (Fuller) Weber Sr. He married Virginia Fritsch in La Crosse on September 11, 1971 and she preceded him in death in 1999.
George had a lifelong love of music. He was a charter member and past director of the La Crosse Barber Shoppers. He also enjoyed playing the organ and singing. George had owned and operated several business with the last being the L&M Tavern for over fifteen years where he established many lifelong friendships. He will be remembered by those who knew him as the man with a million thank yous. Gramps loved his time on the north side of La Crosse whether it was walking or riding his bike by himself or with the grandkids he loved so much. George also had a love of dogs and would always have a pocket full of treats for them. Gramps will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia (Orville) Molling of Onalaska, his sister Janice (James) Cavadini of St. Joseph Ridge, WI., his grandchildren William (Melissa) Molling of Green Bay, WI., John (Leah) Fritsch of Holmen, WI., Dr. Paul (Tara) Molling of Onalaska, Joseph (Kristen) Molling of Holmen, WI., Nicole (Mark) Fries of Holmen, David (Heather) Molling of Holmen, Neil (Cortney) Molling of Holmen, Elizabeth (Brian) Mansky of Onalaska, fifteen great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, his daughter in-law Loretta Fritsch of Holmen and sisters in-law Jean (Earl) Welch of La Crescent, MN., Joan Reese of Onalaska, Norma (Jim) Platz of Onalaska, Dorothy (Norman) Von Haden of Onalaska and Elizabeth Hutzenbuehler of Kansas City, KS. In addition to his wife Virginia, he was preceded in death by one son Greg, one sister Beverly and one brother Jack.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at St. James The Less Catholic Church in La Crosse. Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate. Entombment will follow in the St. Francis Of Assisi Mausoleum at the Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used to establish a music scholarship in Georges memory. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is in charge of arrangements.
