John F Tillman

John Frederic Tillman, 76 of La Crosse, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born in La Crosse on June 20, 1935 to Fred and Dorothy (Kagel) Tillman. He married Judy Frauenkron on August 15, 1964. John had served his country with the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He had worked for the La Crosse Cooler Company and later the Ace Distribution Center in La Crosse.

In addition to his wife Judy of La Crosse, he is survived by one daughter Kristine (David) Weinzierl of Andover, MN., one son Karl (Michele) Tillman of La Crosse, five grandchildren; Conrad,Claire, and Carter Weinzierl all of Andover; Karl John and Isaiah Tillman of La Crosse and many nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Robert, one nephew one niece and one sister in law.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Rev. Roger Sachs will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Thursday evening from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday morning from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
