Leland T. Crocker, 87, of Holmen, died on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born on June 14, 1924 in Exeter, Maine to Charles and Estella (McComic) Crocker. Charles served with the US Army during WWII from 1943 1947. He married Arlene Weiss on October 12, 1953 in Loganville, WI. Leland and Arlene moved to Wisconsin where he farmed for many years in the Loganville and Reedsburg areas. After retirement they moved to the La Crosse area. Leland loved animals, the horses on his farm and the birds, squirrels and rabbits in his backyard. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being with family.
He is survived by his wife Arlene of Holmen, two children, Charlie (Betty) Crocker of Coloma, WI and Patty (Dave Schulze) Burch of Holmen, seven grandchildren, Kenny (Darcy) Crocker, Jason Crocker, Shawn (Heather) Crocker, Charles (Crissy) Crocker Jr., Holly (Brad) Radloff, Joe Crocker, and Shawna Davenport, twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and plenty of adopted grandkids. He was preceded in death by a daughter Connie, a son Clarence, four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at 11:30 AM in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Rev. Cheryl Gross will officiate.
