Cecelia R Meyers

Cecelia R. Meyers, 105, of La Crosse, and a resident of Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012. She was born in La Crosse on March 7, 1907 to Peter and Barbara (Fuchs) Bechen. She married Herbert N. Meyers on February 28, 1927. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1972. They farmed on St. Joseph Ridge until their retirement in 1957 and then moved to La Crosse. Cecelia was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by four children, Herbert (Marie) Meyers Jr. of La Crosse, Clarence (Elrita) Meyers of St. Joseph Ridge, Rita (Roman) Kotek of Middle Ridge, and Arlene Breuer of La Crosse, a son-in-law Jack Mormann of La Crescent, a daughter-in-law Wilma Meyers of St. Joseph Ridge, 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and three more on the way,and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Marion Mormann, a son Eugene, a son-in-law Richard Breuer, her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a sister-in-law, Ella Duellman

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23thrdth, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Hegenbarth will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
