Marilyn J Sciborski

Marilyn J. Sciborski , 71 of La Crosse passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 10, 1940 in La Crosse to Leonard and Caroline (Lepsch) McLain and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1958. She then studied nursing at St. Marys University in Rochester, MN.

On June 15, 1963 she married Richard Dick Sciborski in La Crosse and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1997. Marilyn had worked at St. Rose Convent as a nurse for many years until her retirement in 2010. She loved traveling with her daughter and close friends and spending time with her children and friends. She was a loving wife, mom and friend and will be sadly missed.

Marilyn is survived by her two children; Mark (Melodie) Sciborski of Holmen and Ann Marie Sciborski of Blanchardville, WI; a sister, JoAnn (Robert) Rybold of La Crescent; a brother, James (Karin) McLain of La Crosse; along with several nieces and nephews including Jarred and Jenny McLain. In addition to her husband Richard she was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas in 1965 her parents and a brother, Gerald McLain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Douglas Robertson officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
