Daniel P Ristow

Daniel P. Ristow, 87, of La Crosse, died on Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. He was born on September 5, 1924 in La Crosse to Arthur and Stella (Trygestadt) Ristow. Dan had served with the US Navy, and worked for 50 years at Newark Electric in Chicago. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, dancing, playing pool and listening to music. He was also an avid sports fan of the Brewers, Cubs and Packers.

He is survived by two daughters, LuAnn Ristow of Spring Grove, IL and Diane Janson of Des Plaines, IL, two grandchildren, Dan Ristow and Lisa (Dave) Freisinger, a sister Betty Chance of Albert Lee, MN, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsa and seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Pastor Ted Dewald will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
