Janet L Titcomb

Janet and Roger raised Rogers sister Darlene and seven children of their own in a house filled with love, laughter, and more than a little chaos. Janet loved it all. She became her husbands partner with the Polar Bear Restaurant and other businesses for many years until they retired. She returned to work as a Home Health Aide for the La Crosse Visiting Nurses until Rogers health declined. Afterhe passed away in 2001, Janet moved to Michael Heights, loving her apartment, new friends and social life. She was active in her church where she developed many lasting friendships. Janetwas a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful person who made everyone around her feel extra special.

Janet is survived by her brother Richard (Aloise) Wrobel, Sun City, Ariz.; sister-in-law Darlene (Marv) Thiesfeld, East Grand Forks, Minn.; children Steve (Catalina)Titcomb, Canton, Ga., Ellen (Dave) Gordon, La Crescent, Minn., Jane (Joe) Rivera, LaCrosse, Ken (Karen)Titcomb, Lakeville, Minn., Julie (Brad) Heineck, Holmen, Nancy (George) Schmidt, La Crosse; daughter-in-law Tienju Titcomb, La Crosse; grandchildren Michael (Meredith) Gordon, Douglas (Laura) Titcomb, Bob (Stephanie) Gordon, Alex and Lora Gofus, Ashley Yeske, Maia Heineck, Jennifer Titcomb, Gregory and Amy Schmidt, Ryan Titcomb, Maria Titcomb, Renee (Jon) Blanchard, and Laura (Mike) ONeill; great-granddaughters Isla and Beatrix Gordon, Arianna Titcomb, Katherine and Leah ONeill, Ana Blanchard; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, son John, brothers Phillip and baby Darell, and other dear relatives and friends.

We would like to thank the entire staff at Bethany Riverside for their loving care and support, and to her wonderful roommate Esther. OurMother was happy there.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5th at 11a.m., First Congregational Church, 2503Main Street, LaCrosse. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4thth, that Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue S., La Crosse, and from 10 a.m. to time of service at the church on Thursday.
