Harriet V. Bantley, 99, of La Crosse, died peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. She was born on January 10, 1913 in La Crosse to Albert and Anna (Klein) Isenman. She was a lifelong member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse, where she was baptized and confirmed. She married Roy H. Bantley on May 7, 1932 at First Ev. Lutheran Church. Harriet was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her flowers and garden, and was a member of the Mothers Club at church.
She is survived by a son Roy W. Bantley of La Crosse, nine grandchildren, Kirk Bantley, Lynn Bantley, Christine (Tim) Ward, Sara (Joel) Miller, Eric (Becky) Bantley, Carrie (Phillip) Roe, Layne Sanden, David Sanden, and Greg Sanden, thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Henrietta Shepardson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, a daughter and son-in-law, Harriet Ann (Paul) Sanden, a grandson Mark, four brothers, Herbert, Harold Pete, Harvard, and Warren Isenman, and four sisters, Hazel Johnson, Fern Kaak, Ellen Hock and Elizabeth Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Ev. Lutheran Church.
