Charles M. Charlie Casberg, 55, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born on January 25, 1957 in La Crosse to Carlton and Marjorie (Halverson) Casberg. He graduated from Holmen High School in 1975. Charlie married Carrie Foellmi on September 7, 1985 at St. James the Less Catholic Church. He had worked at Outers and Badger Corrugating, and was currently working as a custodian at Aquinas High School. Charlie enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers, and deer hunting at their cabin in Neillsville.

Charlie is survived by his wife Carrie, two children, Craig and Emily, two sisters, Shirley (Chuck) Severson on Mindoro and Judy Given of La Crosse, a brother, Roger (Judy) Casberg of Holmen; a brother-in-law, Jeff Foellmi of La Crosse; his father and mother-in-law, Ron and Shirley Foellmi of La Crosse; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Bill Given, and two nephews, Ricky Severson and David Severson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 10th, 10:30 AM, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Onalaska. Rev. Steven Kachel and Rev. Jesse Burish will officiate. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska, 907 Sand Lake Road, on Monday from 4:00 7:00 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.



Charlies family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Campbell First Responders, Tri-State Ambulance, and the Emergency Care Department and the Cardio Unit at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center for their wonderful care and support.
