Ronald Reed Stone

Ronald Reed Stone, 54 of West Salem died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Mulder Healthcare Facility. He was born June 29, 1957 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Ronald I. and Lois (Olson) Stone and graduated from Holmen High School in 1975. On March 19, 1983 he married Lori Ann Tabbert in Holmen and they were later divorced. Reed had worked for over 15 years at Great Lakes Cheese Factory until ill health forced him to retire in 2005.

Reed was a member of Ducks Unlimited and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed music and rarely missed attending Rockfest. He was also a strong supporter of West Salem High School football.

Reed is survived by his children; Caleb Stone of Madison and Randa Stone of Milwaukee; his mother, Lois (Glenn) Roy of West Dundee, IL; his father, Ronald I. Stone of Black River Falls; paternal grandmother, Lillian Odegard and maternal grandmother, Marjorie Arneson both of Blair, WI; brothers and sisters; Mark Stone of Winter Park, FL, Kara (Scott) Pelowski of Franklin, WI, Heidi (John) Schieflebein of Onalaska, Craig Roy of Winter Park, Fl, James (Kim) Roy, Steven Roy, Rhonda (Ron) Wilhoit and Jill Roy all of Evanston, IL, and Tina Roy of Pennsylvania, his step-mother Marilyn (Al) Halvorsen of Barnes, WI,along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 16th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue S.; La Crosse with Rev. Martin Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in Green Mound Cemetery, Holmen. Friends and family may call on Monday at the funeral home from Noon until the time of services.
