Marjorie K Haugan

Marjorie K. Haugan, 86, of La Crescent, died on Sunday, May 13th, 2012 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born on December 10, 1925 in Portland, ND to Carl and Mabel (Hovde) Moen. Faith, family and friends best sums up Marjories life. She is survived by her husband of 65 years and best friend of 70 years, John M. Haugan, her children and grandchildren, DiAnn (Stephen) Johnson of Chanhassen, MN and their children, Stephani (Craig) Sundry and Michael (Heidi) Johnson, John D. (Roberta) Haugan of La Crescent and their children, Karn (Mark) Schwartzhoff, Robyn (Neal) McCullough, and Caitlin Haugan, Steven (Patricia) Haugan of Tampa, FL and their children, Nichole Gurevitch, Lindsey (William) Nussbaum, and Samantha Haugan, and Susan (Michael) Christianson of Onalaska, WI and their daughter Amanda Christianson, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Gloria Anderson, and three brothers, Elroy, Arlyn and Burnell Moen.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, La Crescent. Pastor Barb Kopperud and Pastor Mike Woods will officiate. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, La Crescent. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the La Crescent Area Food Shelf or charity of choice.

Marjories family would like to thank all those who provided her care, and to the staffs of the Gundersen Lutheran Clinic and Medical Center, and Golden Living Center for their wonderful care.
