Mary Lou Deichelbohrer, 78, of Holmen, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem. She was born on December 1, 1933 in Viroqua, WI to Raymond and Lydia (Gees) Malphy. She married Francis Deichelbohrer on May 12, 1956 in La Crosse. She and Francis farmed until their retirement. Mary worked as a bookkeeper at the La Crosse Tribune and La Crosse Trust and later worked as a hostess at Hardees in Onalaska. She was an enrollment coordinator for the Maple Shade 4H club in Holmen. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends and was very active in St. Elizabeths Parish.
She is survived by her husband Francis, two daughters Dawn Manske of Holmen and Karla (Peter) Toppen of Ettrick, nine grandchildren Monica (Tony) Copeland, Derrick (Melissa) Manske, Travis (Melanie) Manske, Eric Manske, Allen, Alexis and Abigail Luce and Marcus and Tanner Toppen along with three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 515 Main St. N., Holmen. Rev. John L. Paar and Rev. Delbert Malin will officiate. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
