Dons many interests included reading, jazz music, fishing, a good game of Texas hold em, golfing and bowling. Don was the first person to bowl a 300 game at Coulee Golf Bowl. He will be remembered as a kind generous man who loved his family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife Jean of Onalaska, he is survived by one daughter Kerry (Padraic) Liston of Westby, WI., two sons Steve (Carol) Faas of La Crosse, David Faas of Onalaska, four grandsons, two granddaughters and three sisters Barbara Poeschl of Milwaukee, WI., Sharon Hoffman of La Crosse, Michelle (Mark) Schaefer of La Crosse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother James Faas.
In keeping with Dons wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family and will be used in Dons memory.
