Donald C. Leitner, 56, of La Crosse, died on Friday, June 15th, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 20, 1955 in La Crosse to Ervin and Donna (Grotjahn) Leitner. Donald graduated from Logan High School in 1974 and had served in the National Guard for 10 years. He had worked at La Crosse Footwear for 27 years. Donald enjoyed sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed playing cards and collecting old coins and knick-knacks.

He is survived by his mother Donna of La Crosse, two brothers, Gary Leitner of La Crosse and Allan (Sue) Leitner of La Crosse, many nieces and nephews, and his cat Goofy. He was preceded in death by his father in 1977, his twin brother Dennis in 2010, and a niece, April Lynn Leitner Salek in 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Rev. Laurie Weis will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services.
