Robert L Davids

Robert L. Davids, 77, of La Crosse, died on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in his home. He was born on October 16, 1934 in La Crosse to Edgar and Vivian (Smith) Davids. He married Barbara Hengstl in 1956. Robert was a loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was generous at heart and if you needed any help he was always there to help. Robert always took care of his family. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955.

He is survived by two sons Joseph (Kelly) Davids of La Crosse and Timothy Davids of Onaslaka, two daughters Katheryn Deters of La Crosse and Sherry Davids of Trempealeau, WI, four grandchildren Lisa Davids, Matthew Hosler, Christine Tyler and Brittney Davids, one great grandson Prentice Tyler, Jr., four brothers John Davids of Onalaska, Duane Davids and Kenneth Davids both of La Crosse and James Davids of Florida, and a sister-in-law Nancy Marshall of La Crosse. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Davids, a daughter Lynn Davids, two brothers Frank Davids and William Davids , two sisters Lynn Henson and Bernice Davids.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Rev. Lawrence B. Berger will officiate. Schumacher Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family.
