Kathleen Van Loon

Kathleen Elenore Van Loon, 85, of Onalaska, died on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born on February 9, 1927 in the Town of Fountain, WI to George and Genevieve (Pfaff) Regelin. Kathleen graduated from La Crosse Central High School. She married Weldon Neal Van Loon on October 25, 1947 in Hustler, WI. Kathleen had worked as a bookkeeper at Allis Chalmers from 1947 until its closing in 1969. She then worked as a bookkeeper and athletic secretary at Luther High School from 1970 until her retirement in 1996.

She is survived by a son Matthew (Betty) Van Loon of La Crosse, three grandchildren, Krista (Philip) Hahn, Nathan (Melissa) Van Loon, and Anna Van Loon, six great-grandchildren, Barak, Graem, Mackenzie, Kayden, Kaitlyn and Landon, and two sisters, Louise (David Sherman) Regelin, and Delores (David) Segerstrom. She was preceded in death by her husband Weldon, her parents, four sisters, Florence Sackmaster, Viola Brauer, Gloria Walther and Grace Regelin, and three brothers, Ervin, Walter and Frederick Regelin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2thndth, 2012 at 7:00 PM at St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church, Onalaska. Pastor William Bader will officiate. Committal services will be held in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the Luther High School Chapel/Auditorium Fund or St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church.
