Rosemarie Betthauser

Rosemarie (Hanson) Betthauser, 74 of La Crosse passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center. Rosemarie was born in La Crosse on April 22, 1938 to Clarence and Helen (Montgomery) Hanson. She was united in marriage to Neil Jolivette in August of 1955 and they later divorced. On March 11, 1972 she married Fred Betthauser. Rosemarie enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with her dogs.

In addition to her husband Fred, she is survived by her daughters; Karen Jolivette of Onalaska, Laure (John) Olson of Holmen, Michelle (David) Ellingson of Hokah, MN, and Angela (Steven) Hornby of Viroqua; her grandchildren; Cpt. Brandon (Katherine) Olson, USAF; Joshua Olson, Gwendolyn Ellingson, Brittany Ellingson and Camden Ellingson; her brothers, William (Carol) Hanson and Thomas (Jackie) Hanson both of La Crosse; her sister, Jean Bechen of La Crosse; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a half-brother and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Rosemaries family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Gundersen-Lutheran and the nursing staff at 4 center.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, July 2thndth at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S. La Crosse with Rev. Carlos Roman officiating. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven cemetery at a later date. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.
