Lumpy Netwall

Marcellus A. Lumpy Netwall, 85 of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Hillview Healthcare Center in La Crosse. Lumpy was born in La Crosse on December 14, 1926 to Frank and Florence (Radtke) Netwall . He had proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Audrey Johnson in December of 1945 and they later divorced. He then married Carol Young on June 9, 1973 in La Crosse. Lumpy had worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for over 40 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his three daughters; Lynn Netwall of La Crosse, Rita Schams of La Crosse, Vicki (Kevin) McCarthy of Stafford, VA., one son Michael (Nancy) Kopski of Oklahoma City, OK., five grandchildren, Scott, Nikole, Jennifer, Matthew, Trina, four great grand children, Devyn, Gwyneth, Shayna and Paige. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter Eleanor, two brothers Orville and Francis and two sisters Theona and Evelyn.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. today, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Entombment will follow at a later date in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum in the Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
