Elinor T Nedvidek

She was born in Richland Center, Wis., on August 24, 1932, to James and Lillie (Sebranek) Shebeck, and later graduated from Hillsboro High School. On June 29, 1957, Elinor married Charles Nedvidek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2007.

Early in her life, Elinor worked for many years at Doerflingers Department Store. She then worked as a cook for the La Crosse School District for seven years and at Kmart for ten years before retiring in 2001. For many years, Elinor also served as a baby sitter for many children who were still very special to her.

She was a long-time member of Holy Trinity parish and was also a member of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Charles Nedvidek, Jr. (Bobbi Albertson) of Ettrick, Wis., Karen Heberlein and her children, Robby, Holly, and Timmy, of West Salem, Rita (Don) Kennedy and their children, Nathan and Nicholas, of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Tom (Kelly) Nedvidek of Stoddard; and her twin sister, Elaine Beranek of La Crosse. In addition to her husband, Elaine was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Beranek.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Elinors life to be held at The VFW in La Crosse on Friday, August 3thrdth, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. It was Elinors wish that her body be cremated and there be no funeral service. She will be buried next to her husband in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park at a later date. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family with arrangements.
