Margaret J Lanahan

Margaret J. Lanahan, 87 of Onalaska, Wis., passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on September 16, 1924 to Joseph and Margaret (Schafer) Krappweis. She married Albert E. Lanahan in Pittsburgh in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2004.

She is survived by one daughter Betty (Paul) Allen of Onalaska, one son Dennis (Jan) Lanahan of Pittsburgh, four grandchildren, Chris, Brian (Katherine), Shawn, Alaina, one great grandson Daniel and one sister Dolores Hall of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son Albert Jr. She will be missed by her family and friends who dearly loved her.The family wishes to thank the staff at Onalaska Care Center for thecompassion they showed Margaret during her stay there.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska. Pastor James Mumm will officiate. Burial will take place at later date in the Riverside National Cemetery, California. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Onalaska Care Center.
