Kenneth H Dahl

Kenneth H. Dahl, 84 of La Crosse passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Lakeview Healthcare Center after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. He received love and kindness from all the staff at Cedar Lane Unit during his extended illness. Kenneth was born on June 22, 1928 in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Henry and Eva (Rolla) Dahl. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Donald.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife Ginny of 63 years; his daughter, Sandy Dahl Manegold and husband Michael of Greenville, South Carolina; his grandson, Todd Michael Manegold and his wife Christina, and great-grandson, Michael Henry Manegoldof Scotch Plains, New Jersey. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Delores Johnson and brother-in-law, Daniel Spanie, plus many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was employed at the Trane Company for 35 years as a manufacturing engineer. He was a member of the Trane 25 Year Club, the American Society of Tool Engineers, the Elks Club and American Legion Post 52. He was proud to have served in the United States Army as a member of the military police in Korea during WWII.

Memorial services with military honors will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, August 30th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse with Pastor Tom Meyer officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services. A private family entombment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. At the request of the family, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
