Olin D Mccarty

Olin D. Mac McCarty, 89, went home to the Lord on Monday, August 27, 2012. He was born in Ideal, GA July 7, 1923. Survivors include daughters, Patricia (Jon) Weber, Lavonia Moni McCarty, Carolyn (Andrew) Novak, Jean (Rod) Schroeder, sons Dennis and Paul (Lisa), daughter-in-law Brenda (James) Kubasta: Grandchildren, Karene (Carlos) Marchan, Daniel, Lisa, Steven, and Michael (fiance Tanya) Novak, Kyle (Katie) and Keila McCarty, Nicholas Schroeder, and David, Robert and Christopher McCarty; Step-grandchildren Mark (Missy) Weber and Sarah (Ben) Guptill: Great-grandsons, Andrew and Liam Novak. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law (the Schoen-gang), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine, a son J. Charles, a brother George and his wife Wylene, and two sisters.

Olin was a WWII veteran, welder, gardener, mechanic, deacon, bowler, dancer, and a flirt. Mac will be missed.

Memorial services, under the direction of Rev. Timothy Ashley, will be held on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 1209 Main Street, La Crosse. Visitation is prior to the service, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Interment at the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park will follow the service. A lunch for family and friends will be held back at the church.
