Mark D Hiser

d. September 2, 2012

Mark had worked as a police officer, Master Core Maker for Badger Foundry then a Jailer/Dispatcher for the Houston County Sheriffs Office. He had also served as the commander for the Houston American Legion Post 425. He was very proud of his involvement in the community and especially loved being a jailer. He loved taking his grandson fishing with grandpa Red, telling his grandkids stories and taking them camping. He was always happy to help anyone who needed it. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who truly knew him.

Mark is survived by his wife Shelley of Caledonia, his daughter Mindy Jo (Matt) Meldahl of Houston, Minn., son Ryan (Nicole) Hiser of Prunedale, CA., grandchildren Cassidy, Kylie, Matthew and Cash; his parents Red and Jean Hiser of La Crosse and one brother Scott (Linda) Hiser of La Crosse. He was preceded in death by one brother Russell.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent. Pastor Michael Woods will officiate.
