David J Borger

David John Borger, 41 of Galesville, Wis., passed away at the Mayo Clinic Health System of La Crosse on Tuesday, September 11th from an unexpected illness while surrounded by his family and loved ones.

David was born in La Crosse on March 2, 1971 to Howard and Patricia (Mashak) Borger Jr. On May 11, 2001 he married Melissa Missy Candahl. David had worked for the Kwik Trip Bakery in the maintenance department for the past 23 years. During his spare time, he enjoyed cool weather camping, sitting in the backyard around a bonfire, woodworking, boating and spoiling his two dogs. His famous words were; This is what its all about.

He is survived by his wife Missy of Galesville, his step son Jerimiah Tschumper of Galesville, his parents Howard and Pat Borger of Onalaska, Wis., sisters Mary (Jim) Mathews of Waupaca, Wis., Lisa Borger of Galesville, father and mother in law Gary and Jen Candahl of Brownsville, Minn., two nieces Hope Mathews and Alexis Paulus, two nephews Sean Mathews and Damian Paulus, brother and sisters in law Mike and Renee Candahl and Michelle Paulus, and his two beloved dogs Oakley John and Baby Girl.

A celebration of Davids life will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska, 907 Sand Lake Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Davids memory.
