Donald L Proksch

Donald Leonard Proksch, 82, of Stoddard, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 after a long illness with his wife Jo at his bedside. Donald was born on December 9, 1929, the eldest child of Leonhard and Freida (Baudler) Proksch. Don was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a telegrapher for the railroad for many years. Don enjoyed working on lawn mowers and collecting toy tractors.

He is survived by his wife Jo (Anderson) Proksch, a son Timothy (Suzanne) Proksch, a daughter Susan (Tom) Benson, five grandsons, Dr. Bryan (Kari Jo) Proksch, Steven (Kerry) Proksch, Rev. Nicholas (Rebekah) Proksch, Scott Benson and Neal Benson, four great grandsons, John, Patrick, Jeremy and Maxwell, a brother Wilbert (Sandy) Proksch, a sister Elaine (Bill) Zierke, a sister-in-law, Judy Proksch, his former daughter-in-law, Carolyn Koelsch, and several other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rosalind, a brother Ralph, and an aunt and uncle, Elsie and Ed Baudler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church, Stoddard. Pastor Phil Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be given to St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church.
