Mitzi worked as a nurses aide at St. Francis Hospital in La Crosse earlier in her life. After raising her family, she returned to work as a nurses aide at the La Crescent Health Care Center for 25 years before retiring.

Mitzi was a long-time active member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Hokah. In her free time, her favorite hobby was tending to her flower garden. She also enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren.

Mitzi is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Lori (Don) Schulte of Hokah, Jeff (Tina) Ross of Caledonia, Minn., and Brian Ross (Karmen Koelbl) of Hokah; and four grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Ross, and Devon and Kaleb Schulte. She is also survived by four brothers and a sister, Donald (Vicki) Densmore of Whitehall, Wis., Rodney Densmore of Lincoln, Neb., Larry (Jodie) Densmore of Stoughton, Wis., Keith (Roberta) Allen of Tomah, Wis., and Mary (Doug) Shoults of Onalaska; in-laws, James (Donna Mae) Ross, Michael (Teresa) Ross, Sally Ross, and Fred (Cindy) Ross, all of Hokah, and Robert (Delores) Ross, Jr. of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mitzi was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael Densmore, Gary Densmore, and Roger Andresen; and a brother-in-law, William Ross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 1thstth, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Peters Catholic Church in Hokah. Rev. Paul J. Breza and Rev. Pratap Reedy Salibindla will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 111 South Oak St., La Crescent, on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m., and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Mitzis family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the medical staff and hospice staff at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center for all of their care and concern.
