Julene M Ledegar

She was born in Fillmore County, Minn., on April 22, 1919, to Ole and Clara J. (Hovey) Hendrickson. She married Russell W. Ledegar on January 15, 1944, in La Crosse. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1972.

Very early in her life, Julene worked as a dental assistant in La Crosse. After raising her family, she began working as a nursing assistant at St. Francis Hospital, where she worked for many years until retiring.

Julene was a life-long member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Larson of La Crosse, and Dan (Denise) Ledegar of Holmen; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Derek (Becky) Larson of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and their children, Evelyn and William, Heather (Tony) Sanchez of Temecula, Cal., and their children, McKayla and Samuel, Nicholas (Nicole) Ledegar of Holmen, and their children, Madison, Landon and little Bella Julene on the way, and Kate Ledegar who is attending college in Mankato, Minn. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, LaVerne Hendrickson of La Crosse and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Julene was also preceded in death by a son, Pfc. Russell O. Ledegar, who was killed during the Viet Nam War; and three siblings, Kennard Hendrickson, LaVonne Jefferson, and Harold Hendrickson.

Graveside services and committal will take place on Saturday, October 13th, at 1:00 p.m., at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating.
