He is survived by five sons, Christopher (Tracy) and their children Heather, Andrew and Timmy of La Crosse, Jeffery (Erin) and their children Cody and Alyssa of Eau Claire, Patrick (Anne) and their son Nolan of La Crosse, Edward (Christine) and their children Addison and Josephine of St. Paul, and Stephen (Stacey) and their son Harvey of Eau Claire, two sisters, Jean (Bill) Affeldt and Joan (Harry) Packman, and a brother Robert (Darlene) Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Ann, his parents, a daughter Lynn Rose, three sisters, Sr. Ruthanne Dayton, FSPA, Shirley Otto, and Ruth Edgeton, and three brothers, James, John and Thomas Dayton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 3thrdth, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Committal services will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Friday from 5:00 7:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. A Prayer Service will be held Friday evening at 6:45 PM.
