" style="text-indent: 0.5in; margin: 0in 0in 10pt;Patricia is survived by her son Michael (Sharon) and grandson Zachary of Portland, OR; Rebecca (Steven) Hoglund and grandchildren Alexis and Adam of Minneapolis, MN; sister Ruth Snodgrass of La Crosse; sister Helen Kunzi of Utah; brother Paul Meyer of Onalaska; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia graduated from Logan High School in 1955. She went on to study Chemistry and Medical Technology at La Crosse State, graduating in 1959. Shortly after graduation, Patricia married her college sweet heart, Clarence (Lou) Schlicht. Together they loving raised a son Michael and a daughter Rebecca. In addition to devoting her life to her children and family, Patricia spent nearly 40 years working for Gundersen Lutheran Clinic, retiring in 2000 from her position as Co-Director of Laboratory Systems. In her retirement, Patricia enjoyed playing with the joys of her life, her grandchildren. She also spent many hours cooking and baking, gardening and volunteering for her church. Patricia spent her life helping to bring joy (i.e. pies and cookies) to others. Her love, her laughter and her smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Eagle Crest Memory Care and Clare Bridge Assisted Living for the loving care they gave to Pat. Their work and support helped her to live with dignity, joy and love until the very end.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Rev. John Parkin will officiate. A private burial for family members will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Saturday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimers Association.
